Guzzlers Pin 5-2 Loss on Hawks
|
The Galesburg Guzzlers did just enough to secure a 5-2 victory over the Highwood Hawks at Galesburg Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Bob Weatherall, who captured player of the game honors. Anaías Pedroza earned his 10th save in 11 tries. At 32-33, the Guzzlers find themselves in 6th place in the Menard's A.
Daniel Faraday drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Galesburg. In the bottom of the third, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Faraday delivered for the Guzzlers. His run-scoring ground out put Galesburg on top, 3-2.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Highwood manager John Muñóz said following the tough loss.
