Hawks Win at Galesburg, 8-3
|
Getting a good performance from catcher Luis Estrada, the Highwood Hawks defeated the Galesburg Guzzlers, 8-3. Estrada was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Hawks. Miguel Álvarez picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 8. On the season, he is now 3-1. Galesburg has now lost 4 straight.
Rojo Nasution, who was drafted in the three round of the 2023 draft, aided the Highwood cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman was 1-5.
