Expos Throttle Bulls, 3-0
|
The Niagara Falls Expos eeked out a 3-0 win versus the Belleville Bulls at Waterfall Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Javier Matajudíos, who captured player of the game honors. Matajudíos, now 7-4, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. The Bulls, at 33-22, have lost 4 in a row.
Alfredo Sánchez was a key contributor to the win for the Expos. In the bottom of the third with two out, the light-hitting first baseman stroked a single to left. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"I really like what we did out there today," Sánchez said after the game.
