Sharp Excels in Idaho Falls Win
|
Benefiting from Frank Sharp's productive game, the Idaho Falls Chukars downed the Highwood Hawks, 10-0. Sharp was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Chukars. Bartolo Ramírez earned the save, his 2nd. The Highwood losing streak has now reached 6 games.
When the Chukars needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Sharp who delivered. Facing Highwood pitcher Alonso Martínez the bottom of the eighth with runners on 2nd and 3rd, Sharp hit his 3rd home run of the year. It made the score 10-0.
