The D.C. Divided defeated the Boston Patriots, 2-0, in Premier League action at Dunkin Donuts Park, with D.C. pitcher José Alaniz named player of the game. Alaniz, now 9-8, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs. Gabriel Hidalgo earned his 30th save in 32 chances.
Cristo González, who is tied for 3rd in the PL in triples with 5, aided the D.C. cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3.
González called the triumph "a good team win."
The Divided own a robust 60-46 mark.
