Niagara Falls Bats Go Silent in 5-0 Loss
|
Fans who gathered at Belleville Field saw a good contest between the Belleville Bulls and Niagara Falls Expos.
The Belleville Bulls went home winners at Belleville Field, thanks in large part to starter George Eisenhauer. Eisenhauer silenced the Niagara Falls Expos, enabling Belleville to grab the 5-0 win. Eisenhauer was the winning pitcher and moves to 1-1. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, pinch hitter Jim Unknown came through big-time for the Bulls. With Belleville leading 2-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Belleville manager Craig Walters.
This win makes it 1 in a row for Belleville.
