The Kennesaw Jets defeated the Belleville Bulls, 4-1, in M3L Single A action at Belleville Field, with Kennesaw pitcher Jeren Kendall named player of the game. Ashweather Cett locked down his 5th save. Kennesaw's record now stands at 14-16, placing them 9th in the Menard's A.
Also playing a key role was Jim Unknown. The Kennesaw pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, Unknown went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
In comments to the Kennesaw Daily News, Unknown admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
