Hawks Slip Past Niagara Falls, 2-1

It was a fun time at Hawks Field, where the Niagara Falls Expos and Highwood Hawks tangled.
In a low-scoring contest between the Highwood Hawks and the Niagara Falls Expos, pitcher Gabriel Herrera was at the top of his game. The Highwood left-hander was named the player of the game in Highwood's 2-1 win. The Hawks' win now puts them at 16-8.
Luis Estrada was the walk-off hero for Highwood. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Highwood catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"If we keep winning the close games" said Estrada, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
