Guzzlers Pull Back to Even with 2-1 Victory
|
Galesburg Guzzlers starter Tex Estes turned in a sterling performance against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Estes picked up the win for Galesburg, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Galesburg has now won 3 straight, while the Seahawks have lost 7 in a row.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, first baseman Carlos Cardona came through big-time for the Guzzlers. With Galesburg leading 1-0, he belted a solo home run.
