Piranhas Jolt Thundercats with Late Rally

The Panama City Piranhas beat the Richardson City Thundercats, 4-3, at The Thunder Dome. The Piranhas got a fine performance from center fielder Marc Talamante, who captured player of the game honors. He belted 2 home runs. Panama City starter Pedro Alejándrez was credited with the win after throwing 105 pitches over 8.1 innings. His record now stands at 7-7. The Piranhas are now 45-57, while the Thundercats fall to 62-40.
Talamante had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-2 fastball from Javier Ramírez, he banged a solo home run to center, giving the Piranhas a 4-3 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Talamante.
"We put together a nice win," Talamante said.
