Continentals Suffer 7-2 Setback
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders stymied the Chesapeake Continentals, 7-2, at Chesapeake Grounds. Rubén Alvarado, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3-5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Tacoma. Tacoma bumps their record to 46-50 with the win.
Alvarado had a key at-bat for Tacoma early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and gave Tacoma an early 3-0 lead.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Alvarado.
