Gregg Young helped his team muscle past the Northern Virginia Retrievers, 10-4. In the game, the Buckhead designated hitter was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. With the win, the Bowties have a record of 31-70.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the fifth inning when the Bowties sent teenager Manuel Carmona to the plate against Retrievers hurler Ben Logan. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a first pitch fastball to score 3.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Kerry Hofmeister said.
