Continentals Jolt Fur Traders with Late Rally
The Chesapeake Continentals picked up a win at Chesapeake Grounds, knocking off the Tacoma Fur Traders, 4-1. On the mound for Chesapeake was left-hander Francisco Chávez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Dae-il Kim got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1 innings. The 5th-place Continentals raised their record to 45-49.

Mike Peterson was the walk-off hero for Chesapeake. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Chesapeake second baseman hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Peterson told the Chesapeake Gazette. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
