Lannister United third baseman Louis Gibbons had a terrific game. He went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Mercer Island beat the Lionhearts, 11-3. Gibbons was named the player of the game despite the loss. Valentín Rivera went 6.2 innings for Mercer Island to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 earned runs. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record improves to 3-0. The Screaming Eagles go to 59-33, putting them first in the Premier AA.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, center fielder Luis Antonio Hernández came through big-time for the Screaming Eagles. With Mercer Island leading 8-3, he belted a 3-run home run.
