Screaming Eagles Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Mercer Island pitcher Fernando Reyna did his part in helping his team beat the Sun Prairie Swallows, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Mercer Island reliever Denis Melis picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Ricardo Ramírez absorbed the loss. The first-place Screaming Eagles now have a 5-game winning streak.

Jorge Velázquez's hit in the top of the 13th was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Ricardo Ramírez for a run-scoring single. It put Mercer Island in front, 4-3.

"This team is real focused right now," said Mercer Island Screaming Eagles manager Jared Gilbert.
