The Asheville Highlanders topped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 7-1, in USPL Double A action at Ballpark of Tacoma. The player of the game was Asheville pitcher and New Berlin, Wisconsin native Romano Martínez. Asheville reliever Romano Martínez got the win, raising his record to 10-3. César González was tagged with the loss. Today's win puts Asheville at 33-46, while Tacoma falls to 38-41.

Ed Lastinger didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to put Asheville on top, 1-0.
