Fur Traders Stick Swallows with 7-2 Loss
|
Swallows Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Tacoma Fur Traders and the Sun Prairie Swallows.
The Tacoma Fur Traders stopped the Sun Prairie Swallows, 7-2, at Swallows Ballpark. The Fur Traders got a big game from Michael Whorton, who went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tacoma now has a 3-game win streak.
Whorton came through with some timely hitting for Tacoma. With the score 2-0 in the top of the first and two down, Whorton hit a 1-1 changeup for a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season -- and a big reason the Fur Traders managed to win.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Whorton said.
