Screaming Eagles Walk Off with 8-7 Win
A 4-RBI performance from second baseman Wade Killefer, who was drafted in the two round of the 2023 draft, led the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles to a 8-7 win over the Chesapeake Continentals. Mercer Island reliever Luis Ochoa picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dae-il Kim absorbed the loss. The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles have an impressive 50-28 record.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 7-7, third baseman Nelson Plasenia won it for Mercer Island. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Plasenia hit a 2-1 forkball from Dae-il Kim for a run-scoring single, giving his team a 8-7 win.

"Exhilarating win," said Plasenia.
