Fur Traders Double Up Sun Prairie, 4-2

Tacoma Fur Traders starter Howard Finch was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Sun Prairie Swallows, 4-2. Finch, now 8-5, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Lonnie Barrett was called on to finish, recording his 16th save.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the seventh. That's when Rubén Alvarado, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in bases on balls with 55, drew a walk. The Fur Traders went on to win.
In postgame remarks, Alvarado said: "We put it together today and came out with the win -- that's the main thing."
Tacoma, at 36-40, occupies 5th place in the Premier AA.
