Fur Traders Go Down to Defeat, 8-2
The Chesapeake Continentals thumped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 8-2, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Jorge Rodríguez was a big reason his team got the win. Rodríguez went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Chesapeake bumps their record to 35-40 with the win.

Lee Lockheart dealt the Fur Traders a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Chesapeake leading 3-1, Lockheart hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run single.

"We're a pretty talented bunch when we're playing well," said Rodríguez. "I think we showed that here."
