The Minnesota Loons stymied the Asheville Highlanders, 8-2, at Loony Bin. Bass Reeves, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times for Minnesota. Minnesota now sits in 8th place in the Premier AA at 31-38.

D.C. Aiken dealt the Highlanders a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Minnesota trailing 2-0, Aiken, who was drafted in the three round of the 2023 draft, hit a 1-2 slider for a run-scoring single.

"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Aiken. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
