The Chesapeake Continentals topped the Yakima Hops, 6-3, in USPL Double A action at Chesapeake Grounds. The player of the game was Chesapeake pitcher and Quisqueya, Dominican Republic native Carlos Medina. Chesapeake now owns a record of 32-36.

Maracaibo, Venezuela-born Jorge Rodríguez came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 3rd and the Continentals trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to left to put Chesapeake on top.

"We're feeling pretty good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Rodríguez told the Chesapeake Gazette.
