Swallows Get One-Run Win at Yakima
The Sun Prairie Swallows bested the Yakima Hops, 7-5, at Hops Park. Ghislain Vespucci was named player of the game. He went 2-4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Sun Prairie reliever Eric Clark was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Jorge Cruz took the loss. Kyle MacRae earned the save, his 4th.

Also doing his part was right fielder Carlos Garza, who stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth for Sun Prairie. For the game, Garza went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Vespucci told a Sun Prairie Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."

Sun Prairie, now 26-36, holds 9th place in the Premier AA.
