In a close game at Asheville Park, the Casper Ghosts edged the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3. Casper left fielder Juan Carlos Cruz earned the nod as player of the game after he hit 2 home runs. Casper reliever Jim Unknown got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jim Unknown was tagged with the loss. Jim Unknown nailed down his 1st save.

The most important at-bat came in the top of the 11th inning. With no one out, Jim Unknown threw a 1-2 curveball to Cruz, which he hit to left for a solo home run. It put Casper in front, 4-3.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Asheville manager Jacob Green.
