Ghosts Win Thriller, 5-4
|
The Ghosts had to overcome a fine effort from Chesapeake pitcher Pedro Silva to grab a 5-4 win at The Graveyard. Silva went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The win was credited to Jim Unknown in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Dae-il Kim took the loss. The Ghosts saw their win-loss record go to 29-31. At the same time, the Continentals fall to 31-29.
The Ghosts were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when left fielder Juan Carlos Cruz turned a full count fastball from Dae-il Kim into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Casper a thrilling 5-4 win.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Cruz said.
