Mercer Island starter Alberto Reyes had a strong outing against the Asheville Highlanders at Mercer Island Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. José Sánchez recorded his 10th save for Mercer Island. With the win, the Screaming Eagles improved to 35-17.

In the bottom of the first, Miguel Pacheco hit a 3-run home run for Mercer Island. The 1st home run of the season for the Mercer Island catcher put the Screaming Eagles on top, 3-0.

"We'll try to build on that win," Reyes told the Mercer Island News.
