Swallows Beat Highlanders, 4-1
|
The Asheville Highlanders were defeated, 4-1, by the Sun Prairie Swallows. Leading the charge for Sun Prairie was designated hitter Jorge Borbón. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kyle MacRae closed it out for his 2nd save. The Highlanders, at 13-31, have lost 5 in a row.
Borbón contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Sun Prairie in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Borbón took a fastball from Valentín Montenegro and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Swallows to leap in front, 3-1.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Borbón after the game.
