It was a good time at Ballpark of Northern Virginia, where fans came to watch the Athletic Club KC and Northern Virginia Retrievers get after it.
David Edwards had a good game, even if his team, the Athletic Club KC, did not. Athletic Club KC dropped a 5-4 decision to Northern Virginia at Ballpark of Northern Virginia. Natalino Golaio earned the win to go to 6-5. He allowed 4 earned runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts. Getting the save was Ben Logan, his 5th.
Munemori Ohara dealt the Athletic Club KC a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Northern Virginia trailing 1-0, Ohara, who is tied for 10th in the PL in doubles with 18, hit a first pitch cutter for a 2-run double.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ohara told the Northern Virginia Chronicle.
Northern Virginia is 36-60 and Athletic Club KC, with the loss, 54-42.
