Yakima Hops starter Mathieu Neri was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Asheville Highlanders, 4-0. The Hops go to 19-7, putting them second in the Premier AA.

Also playing a key role was Lenny Roper. The Yakima third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, Roper went 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.

"I thought we played a nice game," Roper told the Yakima Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
