Chesapeake beat Minnesota at Chesapeake Grounds, escaping with a 6-1 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Salvador Pineda, who earned player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 3 times. Vicente Reyes got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. Minnesota has now lost 4 in a row.
