Ghosts Take 10-1 Pounding
|
Pitcher Fernando Reyna was sensational for the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles in his team's 10-1 triumph over the Casper Ghosts. Reyna received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Ken Shelton closed the door for Mercer Island, picking up his 1st save of the year. Their 16-7 record puts the Screaming Eagles first in the Premier AA.
Hank Scorpio didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a bases-clearing double to put Mercer Island on top, 3-0.
"We've got a great group of guys," Scorpio said, "and we're having fun right now."
