It was a good time at Loony Bin, where fans came to watch the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles and Minnesota Loons get after it.

The Minnesota Loons beat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 9-4, at Loony Bin. Minnesota left fielder Lowell Moon earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. Jim Unknown got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings.

Dave Stockman drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Minnesota. In the bottom of the eighth, with the teams deadlocked, 4-4, Stockman delivered for the Loons. His run-scoring walk put Minnesota on top, 5-4.
