Lionhearts Need Extra Frames to Get Past Swallows
|
The Lannister United Lionhearts defeated the Sun Prairie Swallows, 2-1, in USPL Double A action at Swallows Ballpark, with Lannister United pitcher Edgar Lankford named player of the game. The loss drops Sun Prairie to 7-10.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Bartolo Martínez hit a 1-0 cutter from Josh Parker for a run-scoring single. It put Lannister United in front, 2-1.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Martínez.
