Highlanders Suffer 5-4 Setback
The Casper Ghosts topped the Asheville Highlanders, 5-4, in USPL Double A action at Asheville Park. The player of the game was Casper pitcher and San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic native Valentín Robles. Jim Unknown was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The Highlanders fall to 5-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2025.

Antioch, California-born Dave Young came through in the clutch. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded and the Ghosts trailing 2-1, he hit a bases-clearing triple to right to put Casper on top.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Asheville manager Jacob Green.
