The Screaming Eagles grabbed a 4-3 win at Mercer Island Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Tacoma pitcher César González. González went 8 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Mercer Island reliever José Sánchez was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was César González. Mercer Island is off to a hot start at 10-4.

Mercer Island grabbed control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Vincente Flores delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Screaming Eagles.
