Chesapeake got a terrific performance from designated hitter Thomas Sherman, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sun Prairie Swallows. Sun Prairie won the Chesapeake Grounds contest, 6-2. Sherman was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Bob Payne got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 4. The Continentals fall to 4-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2025 season.

Dan Hart was a key contributor to the win for the Swallows. In the top of the fifth with two out, the light-hitting third baseman stroked a double to right. He went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 4 runs.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Hart.
