Riding the 3-hit performance of the 24-year old right fielder Carlos Garza, the Sun Prairie Swallows stymied the Yakima Hops, 7-2. Martin García picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Mathieu Neri was tagged with the loss. The Swallows raised their record to 5-6.

It could have been a different outcome for Sun Prairie, had it not been for Ghislain Vespucci, the 25-year old shortstop . Vespucci contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning to put Sun Prairie up, 4-2.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Garza told the Sun Prairie Gazette.
