The Yakima Hops defeated the Lannister United Lionhearts, 11-2. Earning player of the game honors was shortstop Vicente Rodríguez, who went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Roberto Silva got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The loss drops Lannister United to 3-4.
Also having an impact was right fielder Orlando Villa, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth for Yakima. For the game, Villa was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
