Hops Rally For Late Win Over Screaming Eagles
The Yakima Hops racked up a win at Hops Park, bumping off the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-2. Mathieu Neri, who started for Yakima, pitched effectively for his team. Neri went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-0. The Yakima Hops, now 5-1, have hit the ground running this season.

Esteban Lugo had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Hops. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Yakima trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Mercer Island manager Jared Gilbert. "The effort was great."
