Pawnee beat Florida, 6-4. The win in part was due to catcher Ronald Hines, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The save went to Ed McWhannell, his 3rd this season. The first-place ParksNRec, at 64-34, now lead their division by 4½ games.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, when Hines drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The ParksNRec went on to win.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Pawnee manager Rusty Bennett.
