Both teams had their chances, but the Sunset District Fog eventually prevailed at Fog Park.
Despite a great performance by Royse City shortstop Fernando Rivera, the Sunset District Fog defeated the Targaryens by the score of 6-3 at Fog Park. Rivera went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jesús Franco earned the win for Sunset District. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 13-5.
Luis Luquín's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Fog. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Sunset District leading 4-3, the second baseman hit a run-scoring single.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Luquín said.
The Fog raised their record to 46-47.
