Fans who gathered at The Thunder Dome saw a good contest between the Oakland Oaks and Richardson City Thundercats.
The Oakland Oaks picked up a win at The Thunder Dome, knocking off the Richardson City Thundercats, 6-2. On the mound for Oakland was right-hander Mimosa Joseph, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 6 innings, Joseph surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.
In the top of the third, Todd Henry hit a 2-run home run for Oakland. The 1st home run of the season for the Oakland first baseman put the Oaks on top, 4-2.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Henry told the Oakland Herald.
Losses have been rare for the Thundercats, who are now 7-2.
