Enríquez Lifts Patriots to 7-1 Triumph
Boston beat Oakland at Dunkin Donuts Park, escaping with a 7-1 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Alberto Enríquez, who earned player of the game honors. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Tom Reynolds picked up the win, improving his season record to 11-3. He struck out 8 in 8 innings. The Patriots bumped their record to 55-35 with this latest triumph.

Chad Armstrong also delivered for the Patriots. The veteran first baseman belted a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. The longball put Boston on top, 2-0. Overall, Armstrong was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
