The Athletic Club KC grabbed a 4-3 win at Athletics Park, overcoming a fine effort from Vancouver pitcher Bill Fletcher. Fletcher went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth. That's when Athletic Club KC right fielder Pedro Vázquez, facing Kevin Woods, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Athletic Club KC the 4-3 win.
