Hill Goes Wild, But Targaryens Win
|
Athletic Club KC center fielder Robert Hill had a terrific game. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Royse City beat the Reserves, 7-4. Hill was named the player of the game despite the loss. Marcelino Freschi got the win, improving to 6-0. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 4. Royse City is third in the Premier AAA with a record of 48-32.
In the bottom of the 2nd, the Targaryens grabbed the lead when José Vargas rapped a two-out home run. Royse City was trailing 2-1, when Vargas hit a 2-run home run off Jason Hamilton to put his team in front, 3-2.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Vargas.
