Stephen Dowell made an impact in the 6-3 Bakersfield win over Milton. Dowell, who is tied for 2nd in the PAAA in triples with 4, was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bakersfield reliever Pancho Padilla got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Manny Pérez was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Jim Unknown, his 1st.

Bakersfield took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Keith Bridges hit a clutch solo home run to bring Nobles fans to their feet.

"Good win for us," said Dowell. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."

The Nobles now own a record of 39-30.
