Dogfish Head Win at Jersey City, 11-6
|
With designated hitter Víctor Robledo leading the charge, the Milton Dogfish Head defeated the Jersey City Sun Caps, 11-6, at Jersey City Grounds. Robledo, who is tied for 2nd in the PAAA in RBI with 40, was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Robinson Suárez, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 6.2 innings. Jim Unknown recorded the save for Milton, his 1st of the season.
Floyd Long helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to give Milton a 1-0 lead.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Robledo.
The Dogfish Head own a robust 23-35 mark.
