Big Day for Loong as Sun Caps Down Dogfish Head, 5-0

The Jersey City Sun Caps bested the Milton Dogfish Head, 5-0, at Jersey City Grounds. Qi-zhen Loong was named player of the game. He was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Darren Garland picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 5 in 6.2 innings. The Sun Caps' win now puts them at 30-15.
Loong contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Jersey City get the win.
In comments to the Jersey City Observer, Loong admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
