6-3 Win by Sun Caps Continues Hot Start

Fans who came to Whips Ballpark watched the Jersey City Sun Caps and the Pawnee ParksNRec fight to the finish.
The Jersey City Sun Caps knocked off the Pawnee ParksNRec, 6-3, at Whips Ballpark. Jake Richardson, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Jersey City won. The catcher went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. The save went to Jim Unknown, his 1st this season.
Higashihiroshima, Japan-born Shohei Kiyomizu came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd and the Sun Caps trailing 2-1, he hit a 3-run home run to center to put Jersey City on top.
"We did a lot of things right," said Kiyomizu.
The Sun Caps improved to a lofty 24-10 mark.
