Loss Extends Athletic Club KC Losing Streak

The Milton Dogfish Head did just enough to sneak past the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 3-2, at KC Reserve Stadium. Milton pitcher Gunner Hardy earned player of the game honors. Hardy was the winning pitcher and moves to 2-4. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 3 walks. Jim Unknown earned the save for Milton, his 1st.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the sixth, with the game tied, David Sánchez was at the plate when Milton scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Dogfish Head to go in front, 3-2.
"We did enough to win," said Sánchez.
The 9th-place Reserves have dropped 6 straight games.
